Over the last few months the children have been busy adapting our environment to encourage the bees. They have built a bug hotel, planted wild flower seeds in pots and growing various flowers such as sunflowers and vegetables including potatoes, beans, tomatos, courgette and strawberries. They are very involved in looking after the plants by reguarly watering them and commenting on their growth.
We have recently been reading a new book called ‘Bees’ by Carmen Saldana which is an eco friendly book about how bees are precious and the important job they have and what we can do to look after them. The children have been encouraged to share the important message about saving the bees with their families and friends.
